Postpartum recovery can be one of the most challenging times in a woman's life. It is a beautiful time, but it is a hard time.

I am blessed to have a wonderful, supportive family who helped so much with my recovery postpartum. I have seen many of my friends with much, much less support than I have struggle through this challenging time.

For some time I have been passionate about helping women through the wonderful, hard experience of labor and delivery. I began training to be a birth doula, but that plan had to be postponed because of my calling as a mom. So, I started putting together postpartum self care packages as gifts for some of my friends who were first time moms. I enjoyed finding a way to give them the "unpleasant" things such as hemorrhoid cream, flushable wipes (for themselves, not baby), and an upside down peri bottle, along with some nicer more fun things like locally handmade soap, electrolyte drink mixes, postpartum encouragement cards and, of course, chocolate.

Thus began the idea for this business, little bird care packages.
